Every technician joins our team with a minimum of two years of industry experience, then completes a two-month, in-house hands-on training program under our founder, Alan Bell supervised by a Red Seal Certified Locksmith. Copying a high-frequency fob or programming a garage remote wrong means a system that doesn’t talk to your building our technicians are trained to get it right the first time.
Most lock change and rekey companies are mobile-only. We’re both bring your lock into our Richmond shop, or have us come to you, whichever’s easier.
Restricted keyway locks can’t always be rekeyed some are built so only the original locksmith or manufacturer can cut new keys for them. When that’s the case, we tell you upfront and replace the lock instead of pretending we can rekey something we can’t.

How much does a rekey cost? In-store rekey starts at $29 and up. Mobile rekey is $150 for the first standard, low-security lock, which includes the service call and your first 2 key cuts then $35 for each additional standard lock. High-security or non-standard locks are priced after we take a look.

Yes we design and maintain tiered master key systems for commercial properties and multi-unit buildings, working with the same strata and property management companies we serve for fobs and access systems.
Rekey keeps your existing lock hardware but changes the internal pins, so old keys stop working. Lock change replaces the hardware entirely usually needed if the lock is damaged, outdated, or you want a different style.
Most people rekey, since it’s faster and keeps the same hardware. If the locks are old, damaged, or you want an upgrade, a lock change makes more sense we can advise once we see them.
